FabricCable.co.uk was founded by Stan & Sophie from Urban Cottage Industries

Known by many different names (eg.'textile sleeved', 'cloth covered', 'braided cordsets' or 'woven wire') we got hooked on it through our original business, Historic Lighting. Our customers wanted bright, bold colours, new types and bespoke Fabric Cable so we built this specialist easy-to-use site for them.

We now carry the the UK's largest stock and biggest selection of Fabric Cable all of which is available on a next day service. The Green Stuff (ie. the environment, not cash)

The biggest preventable cause of waste in the lighting industry is crap design. Too many lighting products date quickly or get 'found out' as being not up to the job. Our classic fabric lighting cord and electrical cable is never truly fashionable, never truly unfashionable and has the legs to last for ever.

Unlike many other suppliers our fabric cable products are manufactured in Europe, in proper working conditions - the ones our forebears fought hard - and sometimes died - to establish. You are welcome to come and look around our manufacturing location, we guarantee you will like what you see. We package our Fabric Cable using recycled paper and card. We don't use any polythene wrappings, packaging or tapes - so everything is easy and efficient to recycle.
